About Us

Sagittarii was formed in 2012 - Olympic Year and are a self financing 'Not for Profit' club providing all members of the community with the opportunity to participate in the sport of archery, with all proceeds from membership
fees being used for the benefit of the club. We are a small club with members ranging in age from 8 to over 90.

We are affiliated to the Dorset and Wilts Archery Association (DWAA), the Grand Western Archery Society (GWAS) and The Grand National Archery Society, (GNAS) / Archery GB, (Archery GB is the trading name of GNAS).

The club prides itself on being very friendly and welcomes anyone with an interest in Archery, whatever
their level of expertise.  We do however require complete beginners to take part in a Archery GB / GNAS approved Beginners Course (Introduction to Archery) course before shooting with us.

To find out more about taking part please complete the Contact Us form and we will get in touch with you.
There are details of our course on the Introduction to Archery page.

Most of the time we practice Target Archery using a variety of bow types - Longbow, Barebow, Recurve,
Compound and whatever type of archery you choose, there is always some expert coaching and advice is
available within the club.

In addition we are able to assist with bow selection and tuning, cut arrows, make bow strings and fletching arrows.
